The employees of Demotrans (Dhaka/Chittagong/Khulna/UK) donated a day’s salary to help the families of the deceased workers and support the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured victims of the building collapse in Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

On 24 April 2013, an eight-story garments building, Rana Plaza, collapsed in Savar. The search for the dead ended on 13 May with the death toll of 1,127 and approximately 2,500 injured people were rescued from the building alive.It is considered to be the deadliest garment-factory accident in history, as well as the deadliest accidental structural failure in modern human history.
